Squadrons, Faction Progression and Space Missions

All nine pilot squadrons across Rebel (Havoc, Vortex, Crimson Phoenix), Imperial (Black Epsilon, Inquisition, Storm), and Neutral tracks (CorSec, RSF, Smugglers Alliance) are fully functional with complete trainers and rewards. Naval service is now directly linked to ground allegiance: joining a navy commits your character to that faction on the planet below, while resigning drops you from the military entirely. Pilot recruiter access is strictly governed by your current standing so be careful about your faction choices! Finally, the full suite of space missions are also now live, including Assassinate, Delivery, Destroy, Escort, Inspect, Patrol, Recovery, Rescue, Surprise Attack, Survival and Space Battles.

Master Pilot & The Deep Space War

End-game squadron gameplay now unlocks Master Pilot content, with Grand Admiral Nial Declann directing Imperial pilots and Admiral Willham Burke overseeing Rebel operations. This opens up the ability to earn the Ace Pilot badges and access to the Kessel and Deep Space Systems. Neutral pilots jumping into Deep Space must temporarily declare a faction allegiance, declaring themselves for one side in the Galactic Civil War. Destroying an enemy capital ship in Deep Space triggers the “Kessel Spawn Switch”, a limited-time high-yield surge event in the Kessel System, spawning heavily armored enemy forces with improved loot.

Stations & Relics

Space Stations across the galaxy are now fully operational, offering repairs, landing permissions, and space questlines. Additionally, qualified pilots will find access to quests allowing them to unlock special landing permissions at the Emperor’s Retreat and Jabba’s Palace. Space looted ship logs can now be traded to Relic Dealers across Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia, and Talus, driving the underground trade of information around the galaxy. In addition to this, several ground questlines now branch directly into their space quest counterpart.

Systems, Grouping & Flight Mechanics

Combat and space flight have received extensive mechanical updates. Pilots now have access to tactical abilities like IFF Scrambling, In-Flight Repairs, and Emergency Thrust, while enemy AI now scales by difficulty tier, uses countermeasures against locked missiles, and features taunts to enemy ships. Physical collisions for asteroid fields are fully synchronized between the server and the client, disabled ships stop adrift, and ship destruction properly returns crews to the nearest station.

Space grouping has been built out to retain passenger validation. POB and Multipassenger ships properly track occupant counts and allow for dismissal while on board. In addition to allowing space groups to merge, we have added this ability for groups on the ground through leader to leader invitation.

Kashyyyk

All Kashyyyk zones are now active, including Kashyyyk Space. Kashyyyk is accessible through three main galaxy travel hubs and Space Kashyyyk, by launching or hyperspace. Kashyyyk has been fully populated with all spawns, including dungeon triggered spawns. Work continues on the various questlines Kashyyyk has to offer, as well as discussing future NFS unique content there as progress continues.

Ground Updates & Bug Fixes

Items, Crafting & Vehicles

Factories now reject invalid materials and cease production when packed up. We’ve properly blocked the datapad trading of packed up structures and fixed Armor to show the degraded state of skill mods due to decay. Wearable Re-Color Kits also had some issues with their menus resolved. Pets now correctly scale their attributes during their growth process, fixing a long-standing issue about adult pet stats.

Staffing

We are excited to announce a number of new staff members hired in these past few months. They include:

  • 5 new QA staff: Axims, Briar, Kenkurai, Naikoi and Praxi

  • 2 new content creators: Dane and Old Man Bond

This brings our NFS staff up to 14.

A note in regards to the video clips: We are aware that the quality of the in-game clips from the video are less than desirable, this is due to an improper output setting when recording. This will be corrected for future updates.
